A man accused of killing a 64-year-old woman in Toronto in an apparently random Friday hammer attack is now charged with a terrorism-related offence.
Akhtar turned himself in to police over the weekend, and authorities charged him with first-degree murder. On Tuesday, however, prosecutors changed the charge to “murder — terrorist activity.” When this evidence arose, Toronto police reached out to the Integrated National Security Enforcement Team, an RCMP team that looks at terrorism cases. The murder charge was then upgraded.

Just disgusting...a 64 year old woman just walking on the street minding her own business. Could have been any of us. Why it's good to carry a concealed weapon legal or not.
Cops: Good thing most of law abiding citizens are not armed for self defense in Canada. We can only have criminals and people with violent intent to be armed in public.
....and now we are going to face a media blitz about how this is not related to terrorism but is really about mental health and how a certain community is afraid of a backlash that never comes.
