On April 22, police say a woman met a man online and then met him in his vehicle in the Woodbine Ave. and Lake Shore Blvd. E. area before being sexually assaulted and then extorted.
In the second case, on Jan. 1, 2020, a woman met a man online and provided photos before being extorted in the Allen Rd. and Eglinton Ave. W. area, according to Toronto Police. Mitchell Avery Martin was arrested Thursday and charged with two counts of extortion, and one count each of sexual assault, sexual assault with choking, publishing an intimate image without consent, assault, and fail to comply with release order.
