The New York Times reported Friday that bounties offered by a notorious arm of Russia's military intelligence service gave incentives to Taliban fighters to target U.S. forces, just as U.S. President Donald Trump tries to withdraw troops and end America's longest war.
"The nineteen-year jihad of the Islamic Emirate is not indebted to the beneficence of any intelligence organ or foreign country," the Taliban said in a statement issued in Kabul."The Islamic Emirate has made use of weapons, facilities and tools ... that were already present in Afghanistan or are war spoils frequently seized from the opposition in battles.
Lies!!
Even if they did, US did the very same thing in the late 80s and 90s
What does Russia say? Has Justin even ever met Putin before?
Well they aren’t going to just admit it are they ?
Well as long as *checks notes* the Taliban say so.
Of course they would deny it. If it stops, it's going to be loss of revenue for them
Did anyone really expect them to actually admit it, they are terrorists for heaven sake.
Who to believe? It's a sad commentary on government credibility when we live in a world where we don't know whether the US, Russia or the Taliban is telling the truth, but we're more inclined to believe the Taliban.
Great reporting. We know they are always truthful. Canada is a better place with this information. Outstanding work CTV.
AMERICANS!!!!
The World needs a Serious Spiritual Awakening then Maybe we will See ✌️
Then it’s probably true.
Soooooooooo the Taliban isn't willing to spill the beans? Oh what a surprise that is.
