An NDP government would extend full public dental coverage to households making less than $70,000 a year, leader Jagmeet Singh says.

SUDBURY, Ont. -- An NDP government would extend full public dental coverage to households making less than $70,000 a year, leader Jagmeet Singh said Wednesday in a first step toward including dentistry in public health care for everyone.

"We know that dental care is essential for overall health," he said. "There are too many Canadians that cannot afford dental services."The NDP says up to six million Canadians don't see a dentist each year because they can't afford to, and those people often end up in emergency rooms with much worse problems that could have been averted with routine preventive care. Those can include deep infections and severe pain.

"We are in it for you, we are fighting for you, we are on your side," Singh said, repeating the NDP's campaign slogan. The NDP say there's research showing that emergency-room dental coverage costs the public health system up to $155 million a year.

Incredible finally dental coverage for the poor

That's like everyone.

That is going to get pist off some people I know... I’m counting on to see that happening.

Singh may not win his own election and in Quebec I’ll be surprised if he wins any seats,so dental plan is dead

I wish he would win thing would be big for working class and the working poor

No thanks. That’s what we have insurance for.

So again and again tax more the middle class to support the low income . Wealthy is not affected . Middle class will quit work soon and enjoy the benefits of low income.

And if a couple makes $75k. What then

When pigs fly!!

NDP will have those working taxpayers households that make over $70,000 pay for the dental work of those households which make less than $70,000. It’s socialism, and eventually people just stop working.

Guess they figure any family making over 70k is living like Royalty.
