Offer the premiers special cleantech economic zones in the West, Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes. Let them select the areas they want to develop and choose the provincial incentives they want to offer. Each region could play to its strengths and benefit from a truly national project. This could ease regional resentment and give people who are out of work a chance to be an integral part of tomorrow’s economy. Make it easy for citizens and businesses to be more efficient.

The entire country could be blanketed with solar panels and windmills and we would NOT have enough power on the grid to provide for the essentials in summer, let alone winter. In order to become net zero Nuclear energy is required!

That’s not a climate plan. A plan for the future has to include nuclear; wind energy is wiping out birds by the 1000s and has a short life, solar is intermittent and requires maintenance and land to build. The current grid won’t support an electric future without $$$
