Sacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield has agreed to a four-year, $94M contract extension with bonuses that could reach $106M, league sources tell ESPN.Hield would have become a restricted free agent after the 2019-20 season if a deal wasn’t reached with the Kings by end of day Monday. The 26-year-old was originally the sixth-overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Pelicans and was acquired by the Kings as part of the trade that sent DeMarcus Cousins to New Orleans.
In 244 games with the Pelicans and Kings, Hield has averaged 14.9 points on 44 per cent shooting and has shot 41 per cent from three-point range.
