Protesters Across Canada Rally For Migrant Workers To Be Given Full Status

Demonstrators gathered in front of Immigration Minister Marco Mendicino's office in Toronto after the deaths of three migrant workers who contracted COVID-19 to demand full immigration status for all non-permanent residents on Saturday.

Many migrant workers have fallen ill and cannot access medical treatment, while others have not received wage top-ups offered to other essential workers. Around 100 protesters plastered Mendicino’s Toronto office windows with posters of Juan Lopez Chapparo, Bonifacio Eugenio Romero, and Rogelio Munez Santos — three migrant workers who died from the COVID-19 virus in June while working on Ontario farms.

Participants in the Montreal demonstration, which was attended by a few hundred people Saturday morning, held signs that read, “Status for all” and “We are all essential,” among others.

why is the media pushing this nonsense. how about a story on banning all temporary workers. make the businesses pay citizens a living wage. or even erect safe living quarters for the short term. no need to have migrant workers at all

Screw that , they can go back where they came from , the sooner the better .

How about these protestors start a go fund me page for these migrant workers. Wait, the far left never wants to part with their own money they want the rest of us to pay for their political beliefs.
