Ford filmed with them on close to a third of the days in his first year as premier, but his office said he usually spends less than five minutes on ONN filming and defended the use of time

TORONTO — Ontario Premier Doug Ford took time out of his work days to film taxpayer-funded videos that have been criticized as partisan propaganda on at least 100 occasions during his first year in power.

One of the differences, said NDP critic Taras Natyshak, is that Ontario News Now styles itself as journalism. The spots are formatted like a TV news report, with a woman posing as a reporter interviewing the premier and cabinet ministers. In Ford’s first year he held formal media availabilities, in which he takes a variety of questions from reporters, about two dozen times. He also did a handful of one-on-one interviews and called into talk radio on several occasions.

Ford has previously said that mainstream journalists have become irrelevant because he is “circumventing the media through our social media.”

Cost almost nothing given Vanstone on payroll, production values scaled down. Compare to Libs pig troughing ad agencies with propaganda. Especially ill fated Ontario pension plan that was just a foil to get Trudeau elected. Cost 50 million. And many others. Great job fordnation.

For what? His private viewing?

Who pays for this?

Once the bills for these start totalling up to $1.2 BILLION let us know.

So

The best press coverage our tax money can buy!

The reporter and camera crew for ONN stayed in hotels and ate in restaurants at taxpayer's expense in New York for 4 days to film him for a 2 day trip.

When can the taxpayers of Ontario expect to be reimbursed by the Ontario PC party for the cost of this overtly partisan propaganda?

...short 265 days of what he should’ve filmed, to combat the fake media.

Its hilarious how people think a political propaganda channel can be compared to a media outlet. dofo cdnpoli onpoli

Nice FordD150

The farleft parties have the tax payer funded media pumping out 1000x the content so we’ll call it even.

Hollywood will be calling.

And so he should. He can’t trust the media to give him a fair shake

Right from this guy's handbook!

HuffPost is now a part of OathIt's not a controversy, it's a debacle. Brad Blair's firing was a petty, personal cover-up by Ford & he needs to be called to account & pay for it.
