, the flights landed in Canada between Aug. 1 and Aug. 4. They all had passengers who tested positive for COVID-19 after arriving in Canada.
The government is still advising Canadians against non-essential international travel but for those who do, it is mandatory to self-isolate for 14 days, regardless of whether or not they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. "However, it is important to understand the incidence of individuals contracting a communicable disease inflight is very low. As evidence, consider what are called 'cluster outbreaks,' where a group of people contract a disease at the same time and location. These are rarely if ever tied to modes of travel, whereas you often see reports of outbreaks arising from funerals, bars or other gatherings," Fitzpatrick said.
JustinTrudeau ?!!!

That's just fukn great, these people should not be allowed in Canada, there going to start this shit all over again
There should be testing Centers on airports , people who come in should be tested right at the airport after arriving to Canada and quarantine until test results come. If it comes negative they are good to go to work. No need to stay at home for 14 days for nothing.
COMPLETE CLOSE BORDER [AIR, SEA, LAND] [except trade]
Just determined to make Canada as bad as the states? or worse? WTF is going on here? They need to shut this down before it's too late!
So explain to me again why I am wearing a mask to flatten the curve? Kinda seems like we’re pissing into the wind and wondering why our shoes are wet?
Unacceptable!!!
Aren't airlines testing passengers before getting on plane? Why are airlines not telling passengers when a covid-19 positive passenger was on their flight? TorontoStar CityNews CPHO_Canada
Why the hell are we still letting in flights from these countries? Have we not learned anything yet!!! JustinTrudeau PattyHajdu BillBlair
If only there was some way to stop them MarcGarneau
There isn't so many choices; .CanadaPMP Transport_gc can: 1. Strength controls (e.g increase restrictions for non-essential travel; controls before boarding; etc) 2. Accept the situation as it is w/ potential increase in cases & costs associated with people sick in Canada😷🤓
Stop international flights. We don’t want COVOID19 here. It’s the responsibility of the airlines to make sure their passengers are clear of the virus before boarding. Send that back to where they came from.
And why exactly is that
Close the borders, stop the flights
Stupid. Like doesn’t anyone pay attention and learn? Why the hell are they getting in
Have the authorities become COVIDIOTS to allow this nonsense? Why do they need these flights coming in? Is it misplaced political correctness?
yep just keep bringing them in because you know, this is a highly deadly virus right ?
C'mon JustinTrudeau end this invasion!!
Its not only from the US that they flew in and they were not tourists but Canadian citizens returning from these destinations as Canada doesn’t allow others to fly in. They either had flown for essential or non essential travel, but what’s the solution? Lock us in? No way!
Perhaps anyone flying into the country should have to present a negative COVID test done within the past two days. I realize that it is still possible to have covid and not test positive yet but it would be a good starting point to help prevent this garbage.
Why don’t we quarantine them all until they are covid free?
18 that’s all?! Sounds just about right 1% and these people had their temperature taken before bording and had masks. If you scared tests before bording not at destination. This bugged me since March
Well it would be racist to want to protect Canadians by locking down the border. Just ask Skippy.
