A U.S.-based conservation group has chosen a site in Nova Scotia where it plans to build a kind of retirement home for whales raised in captivity.

The Whale Sanctuary Project announced that it wants to provide a home for about eight whales in a 40-hectare inlet southeast of Sherbrooke , N.S.

Not much of a retirement , dodging fishing lines the rest of your life ... Who thought that one up .

I have huge concerns with this whole idea, your going to confine them in an extra large pool netted off, exposing them to disease from water not controlled, and your going to continue to hand feed them, I only see disaster here.
