The $5-million bridge will link the multi-use pathway along Vincent Massey Park to Carleton University but an opening date has yet to be confirmed, the City of Ottawa said.

“I think the demand here is going to surpass expectations once people know it’s open,” said River ward Coun. Riley Brockington, who would like to see year-round access to the commuting and recreation route with winter plowing of the nearby pathways.Brockington was among those taking in what he called a “very impressive feat of engineering.
