"The fact that historically Quebec has not signed the Constitution is a mistake that should not exist," Singh told supporters gathered in the conference room of a hotel in Sherbrooke, Que. But he's among the few who are still there; things reversed dramatically for the party in 2015, and NDP held only 14 seats in the province at dissolution.
The NDP leader was forced once again to explain why he would not commit to joining any court challenges of Bill 21, which would prevent Singh himself from working as a teacher or a police officer in the province. As a Sikh, he wears a turban. He faces a formidable challenge, given that some polls have placed his party as low as fifth -- behind the Liberals, Conservatives, Green Party and Bloc Quebecois."We can make gains because we have a bold program, we want to address climate change, we want to recognize the importance of Quebec," he said in French. The NDP have had trouble nominating candidates in Quebec.
Time to consider moving when the NDP sounds like a Separatist Party.
Everyone is in race to manipulate either the immigrants, middle class, refugees, natives or locals for the sake of votes. Focus should be towards the progress of entire canada not for a group, religion or an area.
Why doesn't theJagmeetSingh just promise nationalist French-Quebecers the immediate removal of Anglophone Quebecers from the province while he's at it. Geez!!! Haven't we had enough from the QC govt that now the feds want to help kill us?!!!
Expansion of language laws? See ya!
NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh is the definition of STUPID
Now that’s really stupid
It's all fantasy, as NDP will never win in Ottawa. Singh can promise the moon if he wants to!
Pledge more funds to build a wall around Quebec.
Well, then. Go away.
You lost the Anglophone vote immediately.
