Twenty-eight people are facing charges following an OPP-led investigation into vehicle thefts.
Project MYRA began in September 2020 as a collaboration between OPP and Équité Association . Other services, including Durham police, were eventually brought on-board. One in Peel Region, that had been changing the VINs of stolen vehicles before registering and re-selling them.About 37 per cent of the vehicles were Hondas or Acuras.
