It always comes to this with the Leafs, but it usually takes a while. In the past couple of years, the fight didn’t start until everything was over. So maybe this coming struggle of all against all is a good way to shake things up. Probably not, but maybe. Soon enough, someone will say something in a moment of frustration they shouldn’t have and the team will be duking it out with the city.
That confrontation will definitely produce a resolution, though probably not the one the Leafs were imagining a few days ago.
