WINNIPEG — Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister hinted at a potential breakthrough with the federal government on a carbon tax Tuesday, and did not rule out introducing a tax in the upcoming provincial budget.
Pallister would not reveal what price he is willing to agree to, but said the federal government has been told. “When we receive it, we will assess their plan against the federal benchmark, as we do with all provinces and territories’ plans on an annual basis.”
Really not sure if Pallister is a conservative. The carbon tax is a huge hit to business in the province. Businesses do not receive credits and it makes it harder to compete with US vendors.
Jason will not be pleased.

Alberta court rules federal carbon tax is unconstitutionalThe decision, which is not binding, follows earlier decisions in Ontario and Saskatchewan and comes a month before a hearing at the Supreme Court of Canada Nice picture, is that poison that is coming out of the stacks? Tell that to TECK ! Yes, I love the judges comments. Would allow Ottawa enormous powers if held up. That’s what it’s all about in Alberta. Keep it the corrupt Alberta way.
