Friday marks the 10th anniversary of the golden goal — one of our few coast-to-coast-to-coast"where were you when?" sporting moments. For the players on the ice, the people in the stands, those who watched in packed bars or at home with family, it still feels like yesterday. "I remember that feeling," said Crosby, now 32."You're so close and we'd played such a good game ... having it come down to basically one shot. Those are big situations to be in, especially at a young age.Back in 2015, Miller reflected on the crucial sequence where Crosby, the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins, shouted"Iggy" to linemate Jarome Iginla before taking the pass down low and thumping the puck five-hole.

"What that team went through to put ourselves in that position speaks volumes," said Pronger, part of the Hockey Hall of Fame's class of 2015."A lot of people wrote us off. "The building was beyond electric. I threw back to host James Duthie and was almost glad I was done so I could just soak it all in. I remember sitting there for 20 minutes just watching, absorbing.""Probably one of the best games I've ever been a part of," said Kane, a teammate of Toews with Chicago."I remember looking in the crowd and seeing grown men crying — such an important moment for Canada.

Canadian curler Ben Hebert and his teammates were in the Vancouver crowd and nursing a gold-medal hangover — the country's 13th of the Games — after topping the podium the previous day.

Great memory. I remember yelling at the TV when Iginla passed Crosby the puck “don’t do anything fancy, just shoot it”. He listened to me and he scored. Yup it was all me 😉😂😂

I watched the game with my wife in our home in Lethbridge, AB. I remember texting my friends in ON during the game and exploding with happiness after the Golden Goal. Great memory burn!

IGGGY!

So is.....'Henderson scores for Canada'.......called by the late great Foster Hewitt. I was 11, my left wrist was in a cast and I watched it with the rest of the school at St. Jerome's Catholic School Gymnasium in the Hamilton, Ontario

I know it was an important moment, but it blows my mind how we talk about this goal ad nauseum when Crosby was almost invisible the entire tournament. It was Toews who basically carried the whole team on his shoulders.

Bench Mob: Toronto Raptors reserves a bright spot in 108-97 loss to Bucks - TSN.caWhen Toronto Raptors head coach Nick Nurse wants to change the tempo of a game he just has to look down his bench. Terence Davis and Chris Boucher had 10 points apiece off the bench in Toronto's 108-97 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night, with Matt Thomas adding nine and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson scoring six. Wish Nurse didn't keep them on bench for most of 2nd half. You know, since they were the bright spot of the first half!
