Kenney is blaming Trudeau's government and protesters for the project's failure.

EDMONTON — Alberta Premier Jason Kenney says his government is taking action to boost investor confidence following a decision by Teck Resources Ltd. to shelve a massive mine project in the province.

Kenney says legislation will be introduced in Alberta this week calling for an increase in penalties for people who interfere with infrastructure such as rail lines.Alberta Premier Jason Kenney comments on the Teck mine decision in Edmonton on Feb. 24, 2020. Kenney said he was on the phone with investors who have “cancelled, frozen and suspended major projected investments in our economy because of the massive uncertainty created by the appearance of anarchy in parts of this country.”

Of course. Because this is exactly how big corporations do their decision making. It had nothing to do with the low price of oil whatsoever.

We should shut the services to them and then set up picket lines at all the smoke shops I. In a Ontario and all the casinos across Canada be the would just put a bunch of non native people in jail because we don’t matter

He shld read their letter

Why should him, if since JustinTrudeau was re-elected Canada is gong downhills. How many of the liberal_party voters are happy now? cafreeland Bill_Morneau all of them should set down because they clearly showed NO LEADERSHIP.

Do they do anything outside of blame and complain about trudeau?

Cooked up in the UCP “War” room Kenney: You, Mr PM, give Alberta $20B to make licence plates and we’ll make licence plates, u can’t read, 4 u! PM declines. Kenney uses PM to feed local anger. Ultimately tightening authority over Alberta. Yuck!

'Thoughts' is a pretty charitable way to describe Kenney's tantrum.

It was part of the issue, but not all of it .. This issue is well documented for public assess

Ok, so someone fill me in on what would happen if they just proceeded in defiance of the Feds. Because to me, on the one hand you’re screaming in uproar, yet you adhere to what they say, unlike protesters, who do whatever the fuck they want.

I’m ashamed of all the so called “Canadians” replying to this and not saying shit about how these natives are defending THEIR land from greedy corporate colonialist pigs like Jason here.

Picture two young toddlers reacting to a parent questioning the cause of a broken item as a result of their roughhousing.

Oil about $25-$30 a barrel lower than what Teck originally said would make project feasible has nothing to do with it I'm sure

Nothing is ever his fault. He’s got the brain of a toddler.

How can there still be any Canadians defending Trudeau as he systematically destroys this country

Kenney for PM. Sounds like he can fix everything in no time

Obviously he can’t read or chooses to ignore the content of the letter from Teck

Kenny is looking more pathetic than Scheer did. Seems all the Conservatives want to do is to bitch and complain, and blsmevrveryone but themselves for the shit they cause.

Jason Kenney like Ford and others of his ilk are always looking to blame others for what was already facing them because of their inability to find real solutions to real problems!

FFS ..stop with the finger pointing... he did this ...well he did that...and did you see what he did there...grow up...get off the playground and be the adults you were HIRED to be. AllParties cdnpoli abpoli

Try to keep your bias from showing .

Look, amongst all this BS, is the reality that this project requires Western Oil to be priced above $65 barrel, which it isn’t and likely won’t be for some time. This just didn’t make economic sense, but everyone has to play the political blame game.

I guess little Kenney didn’t read the letter from the company stating a lack of a cohesive climate change strategy in Alberta was the driving factor. There is no denying that. But...gaslighting is so much easier than accepting responsibility I guess.

jkenney makes fordnation look smart, competent & ethical. stupidisasstupiddoes

jkenney only believes his own BS! Truth doesn't matter! He just makes things up as he goes along! The great job creator who had lost 50,000 jobs in the province! He's going to blame anyone and everyone for is own inadequacies.
