Colin Kaepernick has announced that his Know Your Rights Camp is establishing a fund to pay the legal fees for those protesting following the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

Former NFL player Colin Kaepernick announced Friday that the Know Your Rights Camp, a campaign he founded to support Black and Brown communities, is establishing a fund to pay the legal fees for those protesting following George Floyd’s death in Minneapolis.

Floyd, a 46-year-old African-American man, died Monday after being pinned to the ground beneath the knee of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, who was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter on Friday. The violent incident was recorded by a bystander and shared widely on social media, inciting wide-spread condemnation, outrage and demonstrations across the United States.

“In fighting for liberation there’s always retaliation,” Kaepernick wrote on Twitter. “We must protect our Freedom Fighters. We started a legal defence initiative to give legal representation to Freedom Fighters in Minneapolis.” In fighting for liberation there‘s always retaliation. We must protect our Freedom Fighters. If the protests were done in respect, 100's of locals would not have lost their jobs, the looting and destroying of businesses takes away from what a meaningful protest of a murderer cop should be. Is he paying their bills over the next months too? Or does he think the looting ok

support looting and chaos , great example to kids

thats crazy, he will be broke and arrested

SPORTSNET PLAYING LEFT WING POLITICS AGIAN ,ROGER'S COMMUNIST SPORTS NETWORK....BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT BOYCOTT...

How about paying for the arson damages and looting costs to the poor small business owners who lost everything because of the “protesters”.

LOL ! 😆

You don’t get arrested for protesting, you get arrested for rioting. There is a huge difference.

He said he wants to support “freedom fighters” .... 🤣

Kaepernick is a hero. Kneel proud! Take the anthem out of pro sports! blacklivesmatter

Hahahahaha.... helluva play, he should come out of retirement.

One, that's a very strange 911 call. Two, for counterfeit bills you need 3 guys to get on your back and crush you? Great police work And. He didn’t leave? Cause I know when I shoplift a bunch of shit from a store, I wait around for the cops to show up too. I’ve corrected your headline for you: “Minneapolis police release 911 call that led to George Floyd’s murder”. Do not render invisible what happened by hiding it behind a word salad.
