Trump administration has detained at least 577 children have been detained in hotels since March

A federal judge said Friday that she would order the Trump administration to stop detaining immigrant children in hotels before expelling them from the United States, a policy enacted during the coronavirus pandemic.

Immigration agencies since March have expelled 148,000 people crossing the U.S.-Mexico border under an emergency declaration citing the pandemic. The Trump administration says people crossing the border without authorization threaten public health and must quickly be forced out of the country. Advocates for immigrants argue the administration is using the pandemic as a pretext to sidestep federal anti-trafficking laws and asylum protections. To prevent them from being allowed to stay in the U.S.

Gee’s order would give lawyers who work with immigrant youths access to the children that the government is trying to expel under the emergency declaration. Separately, legal groups have sued the U.S. to prevent the expulsions of immigrant children altogether. The Justice Department did not immediately comment Friday, but government lawyers indicated that they would consider an appeal.

Is Trudeau liberals going to stop this as well?

Must be rough for them living in a hotel. I bet the homeless people are full of pity, too.

Probably easier kicking their asses back over the wall

Obama built cages for them in 2014. Does the judge want to put them back in cages?

They should be temporarily sent to Judge's house for a warm meal and bed

Judge dismisses Nova Scotia woman's attempt to stop husband's assisted deathA Nova Scotia judge has dismissed a woman’s legal attempt to halt her husband from following through on a medically assisted death. Im sorry for your loss dear lady. But its your husbands choice...but it must be so hard to let go...i cant imagine how i'd feel if my significant other did this to me...betrayed would be one word to describe it...but at the end of the day it isnt about you..sadly its about him. Why do husbands die earlier then their wives? It’s because we want to. The woman sounds like a controlling nag bag and that trait literally kills men early. Good. It’s selfish to want him to suffer so she doesn’t have to suffer a loss.
