Most questions about a possible coalition were dismissed out of hand. The focus is on electing a progressive government and stopping Conservative cuts, Trudeau said

WINDSOR, ONT. — The Liberals feel the disturbance in the Force that saw the NDP‎ and the Bloc Québécois surge after the leaders’ debate has passed, and they’re convinced they will now progress to victory as relentlessly as Justin Trudeau cruised up Highway 401 on Monday.

Most questions about a possible coalition were dismissed out of hand. The focus is on electing a progressive government and stopping Conservative cuts, he said.Would he categorically deny that he would block the expansion of TMX in exchange for Singh’s support? But while he was able to gloss over inconvenient details and the coalition question, Trudeau considered it prudent to answer one query about the Trans Mountain pipeline. Would he categorically deny that he would block the expansion of TMX in exchange for Singh’s support?

In their current state of revived elan, the Liberals should have one eye on the mess they have helped create in Western Canada. Trudeau was elected on a promise to forge consensus and bridge partisan divides. But this is a government that has dismissed the critics of its prevailing vision as uninformed and unworthy.

Complicates nothing, Trudeau and his brain trust Butts and Telford, have no problem spending billions on a pipeline that they plan to never build. Semantics & theatre but no pipeline. Impoverishing this nation is what they all have in common.

The corridor that Sheer proposes makes total sense. It’s a no brainer. A corridor through Quebec transporting oil, natural gas and hydro electricity will ensure prosperity for Canadians now and in the future.

A deal with the devil just to get a taste of power. Singh shows his true character

Look at Trudeau’s hair!! I’ll never vote for a hair style like that!!! That’s my main election issue!!!!!

We have to have a post-election Plan B in Western Canada--I hope we're working on it now because there is no scenario that says...hey, Alberta will thrive. Closest we come is Max Bernier.

Ba! Liberals and the left don’t want it ! PPC and CPC do!

Ignore Ivison as he is a groupie to JT.

Just build the pipeline to the deep water port at Churchill Manitoba and ship the oil from there. Absolutely no reason to go as far as NB. Irving has no intention of spending billions to upgrade his refinery to handle the heavy crude from AB. They only plan to ship it.

At this point I'm just hoping for a minority government and I don't mean Singh jk

It wont work, egos and lunacy. They will eventually eat each other.

NDP, for those who choose not to live in reality.

The lack of a pipeline will complicate the continuation of confederation as currently enjoyed by all Canadians, the failure to appreciate the gravity of the situation prior to Oct 21 may be our undoing.

Canadian problem: Whether or not to develop a $17 trillion boost to the economy. Related to white people problems and rich people problems. Also related dumb people voting for socialism. cdnpoli

Should be interesting for sure.

Well it’s only $4.5B, Trudeau can write that off. No problem.

I’m old enough to remember when the NDP fought for well paying jobs for working people.

Trudeau never intended to build the pipeline so no there will be no complication.

The only solution: a Conservative majority.

Singh walks fine line on TMX pipeline and possible Liberal coalitionNDP Leader Jagmeet Singh tried to strike a precarious balance Sunday between his opposition to the Trans Mountain pipeline and the mounting possibility of a coalition with Justin Trudeau's Liberals. We need that expansion. Revenue to transition. None of the left wing parties are going to make any pipelines, they are more concerned with their climate buddies That's a lie! He is totally against TMX and all pipelines. Trudeau has also confirmed TMX is the last pipeline he will approve.
