Jamie-Lynn Spears is calling out Tesla as “a secret cat-killer,” after a number of her cats were apparently run over by the quiet electric vehicle.
“We have now lost – I don’t want to tell you how many cats – because they don’t hear the Tesla crank and unfortunate things happen and it’s really devastating and tragic for everyone involved,” she said in the video. “Elon Musk, let’s figure this out. You owe me a couple cats.” Spears was unaware of this, suggesting in her video that electric vehicles should emit a warning sound at low speed so animals “aren’t caught off guard and things don’t end in a very tragic way.” However, if she is unaware of the noise, perhaps it isn’t loud enough.
