Jake Paul has agreed to take on five-time UFC champion Tyron Woodley in a boxing match on Aug. 28.

The 39-year-old Woodley was a cornerman for longtime friend Askren when the latter was knocked out by Paul in April, exchanging words with 24-year-old social media influencer and his team in the locker room before the fight.. “And as I enter my fourth pro fight, I am excited to knock the first one off the list by challenging myself against a five-time UFC champion known for his knockout power. Tyron’s a seasoned striker who has fought the best in the world.

“Easiest fight of my career and biggest purse of my career all in one night,” Woodley said of the upcoming bout, . “…This is getting done for the culture, the whole MMA/boxing community, to rid this guy of combat sports.”, Paul and Woodley will face off to promote the fight on Friday in Miami, where Paul’s brother Logan is set to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Sunday.
