I understand how you feel. I had to experience bed bugs, cockroaches & several ghosts; one was an animal where I lived & live. Find a cleaner home. Constant battle with the bugs is tiresome.

I know someone who managed to rent a room $500/mo. 3 beds/ 1 rm. 6 ppl 3 day/3nightshift. Exchange student. We found him a better safe space.

Did the landlord bring cockroaches? Or bed bugs? Or rats?

Change 'landlord' to 'scumlord'

Boarding houses, and they're not tenants they're students. I've been there myself. Spray and trap as required, you're there because anything else is too expensive.

Is the landlord responsible for the cockroaches, bedbugs and rats? Was the residence vermin free before the tennants moved in? Still too many people in the building.

So just go find yourself another place!!!!!! And go to the rentals board instead of Twitter.

Nothing will happen other than a small fine. He knows the tenant law, and the time it take court to decide against him is infinity.

This happens in my community. Indian landlords dividing houses into 6 or 8 and charging astronomical rent to Indian students that don't know any better.

Great, confiscate the landlord's property, bill the landlord for repairs and extermination, and turn it into a housing co-op. Problem solved.
