Forty-two per cent of tests come back positive for influenza, said Morrison. At the same time, COVID-19 tests are 22 per cent positive. SaltWire Network recently asked the Public Schools Branch for absentee rates since the start of the year. On Dec. 2 the branch said it has been seeing higher absentee rates in both students and staff compared to other years.
