Redevelopment plans proceed for HJ McFarland home

Plans to redevelop the HJ McFarland Memorial Home property are moving forward after Thursday’s Committee of the Whole meeting.

Prince Edward County Committee of the Whole voted to recommend that council continue consultations with the architect of the project for a new building and finalize a development plan with the Ministry of Long Term Care. The new facility will be 136,000 total square feet and have 160 beds, with approximately 850 square feet per resident bed.

Other features planned include adult day program spaces, a 1500 square foot multipurpose area, additional staff support space and catering space for meals on wheels service, and rental space for synergistic healthcare services.

The building is only 40 years old and it’s already obsolete? I guess we live in a throw away environment.

U.S. CDC plans to focus on public health response after pandemic failingsThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it will prioritize its public health response in a revamp of its structure. Why would they keep the same people at the CDC who so poorly managed the Covid response? These are the people who have lost our trust and they are the same people who will supposedly revamp the CDC? It laughable. 🤮

U.S. CDC plans to focus on public health response after pandemic failingsThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it will prioritize its public health response in a revamp of its structure. I'll believe this when I see it. The CDC is totally bogus and ruined as far as being a renowned, and revered, scientific organization. You can't politicize it, ruin it, and then magically say 'Aw, we didn't mean it'. The CDC also officially stated that there is no difference between the vaxxed & unvaxxed, therefore they should be treated the same. So why is it that the media & TrudeauTheTyrant continue to discriminate against the unvaxxed, limiting their freedoms & forcing 14 day quarantine? Our BC CDC should think about it as well. They were abject failures also.
