FlixBus USA, whose parent company FlixMobility purchased Greyhound last year, announced a new coach connection between Vancouver and Seattle Tuesday.
The service seeks to fill a void created by the cancellation of some cross-border connections during the COVID-19 pandemic, said the company in its news release. Greyhound’s U.S. arm continued to operate the cross-border service between Vancouver and Seattle, which resumed last November after a nearly two-year hiatus due to pandemic border restrictions.However, at least one company didn’t make it through the pandemic. BoltBus, a Greyhound subsidiary which offered popular $1 seat sales via lottery, stopped operations between Vancouver and Seattle, Portland, and other Pacific Northwest cities in March 2020.
