SaltWire Network fileCHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The ferry MV Saaremaa 1 is expected to begin making the crossing between P.E.I. and Nova Scotia sometime next week.Don Cormier, vice-president of Northumberland Ferries Ltd., said the company will determine exactly what that date will be depending on the progress of ongoing modifications to the vessel.

The MV Saaremaa 1 left Trois-Rivières, Que., on Aug. 3, before arriving for tests and modifications in Caribou two days later.
