Every councillor and the mayor are hoping to be returned to Belleville City Hall this October.
There is only one week left for candidates to file nomination papers for this fall’s municipal election.Incumbent Mitch Panciuk is seeking a second term but will face competition from former mayor Neil Ellis.In Ward 1 Garnett Thompson, Kelly McCaw, Chris Mallette and Sean Kelly are all seeking re-election.
Tyler Alsopp and Carol Feeney who joined council mid-way through its term, are also running to keep their seats.The rest are Lisa Anne Chatten, Barbara Enright-Miller, Nick Boretski, Margaret Seu, Jeremy T. Davis, Robert Labarge and Mike Benson.There are just two other candidates so far in that ward, Kathryn Brown and Michael Clark.
