The Conservative have dropped Ms. Leung as a candidate, but her name will appear on the ballot under the party banner.A B.C. candidate dropped by the Conservative Party last week is continuing to use Tory campaign signs and will appear as a Conservative on ballots in the Oct. 21 election.

“My name is printed on the ballot with Conservative besides my name. No change,” she said in an interview with The Globe and Mail. “But I don’t have the endorsement from the Conservative party, this is for sure.” “The fact that Andrew Scheer has not been able to prevent Heather from utilizing Conservative assets speaks to his lack of leadership and experience,” Liberal incumbent Terry Beech said in a statement.Svend Robinson, the NDP candidate in Burnaby North-Seymour, also said it’s an unfair situation.

Federal Tory spokesman Simon Jefferies said Ms. Leung is no longer a Conservative Party candidate, and will not sit in the Conservative caucus if elected.Burnaby North-Seymour was created in 2012 by redistribution. In 2015, Mr. Beech won the riding with 36 per cent of the vote. The NDP came second with 30 per cent and the Tories third with 28 per cent.

Isn't this equivalent to Election Fraud? The ballot will have a candidate listed who is not actually running for the party to which she claims to be associated. Her advertising is false showing association with a party from which she was ousted. vote Election2019

And she should. Every Canadian has the right to run. If party affiliation is key, they won't vote for her. If her views on conversion therapy techniques which are are sick and tantamount to torture are key, I hope they won't vote for her, or any other candidate with such views.

Perhaps Ms. Leung's language may be quite harsh but it may be that she does not mean to harm as Svend Robinson suggests as LGBTQ people are behavioural where people should have a right to agree with or not agree with and certainly not be a public concern as it is highly private..
