Doug Ford thanks ASL interpreter Christopher Desloges for his work at a daily briefing at Queen's Park on April 1, 2020.Ontario Premier Doug Ford took a moment after answering questions from the media Wednesday to praise American Sign Language interpreter Christopher Desloges.
“This gentleman shows up, never complains, never says a word. I told him today, how many comments and emails and phone calls I get about [him],” Ford said. ASL interpreter Christopher Desloges works behind Doug Ford during the daily briefing at Queen's Park.
I missed him today!
I think they are both doing the best they can, considering the dreadful circumstances.
DougFord is showing more compassion, care & leadership than Trudeau is. He’s on the front line demonstrating visual leadership while the PrimeMinister of Canada stays in hiding ... totally inefficient, ineffective & inept. Crisis does open eyes.
No!!! Today was his last day?! I'm holding onto hope he's standing behind Doug Ford tomorrow and starts the briefing off by showing us the sign for 'April fools!'
This specific interpreter is why I watchhhh
It is an sign language interpreter, not a 'deaf' interpreter.
Completely agree! Great job!
Not necessarily a fan of Doug Ford but completely agree with what he said!!
