Braid: Buffalo Declaration is a blunt message to Canada and CPC

The Buffalo Declaration, or the Buffalo Wing as jokesters call it, prods the Trudeau Liberals to recognize a severe national problem in Alberta.

The declaration is strong, but it does not — as critics already allege — advocate Alberta separation. There’s a vast amount more, including an interesting demand that western arts be properly funded and prominently displayed in national institutions. Calgarians are a tough, devoted crew doing their best to reinvent a city still regularly ranked as one of the world’s best places to live.

All Alberta wants us to do is to be able to create business, generate investment, create jobs, not to have its energy unfairly taxed and its taxes taken from them and given to provinces that don’t want to help Canada and its economy. Pissed Off 😤 in Alberta!

To me, Canada is ridiculous.

Buffalo

Albertans are entitled beyond belief.

All the political crook, this is applied to all Canada , So all the political crook have done their best to divide the country ,confront one part of the country to the other parts Here in Quebec they still try to divide with the language

The CPC should learn the definition of irony.

What is the Buffalo Declaration and why did they call it ‘Buffalo’?The nearly 6,000 word document outlines the history of western alienation, what the authors identify as the root causes and issues with Confederation Blue wave. Of tears. A tsunami of tears. Always wondered why anyone would give a crap about these divisive losers. Anytime conservatives are not in gov't you always get this nonsense from some CPC_HQ MPs in Western Canada. There is nothing like western alienation. Much of stephenharper's gov't was western based. Western alienation is just form of a bitterness from CPC_HQ supporters in Western Canada anytime conservatives lose elections. A form of it is violent and visceral like the one who greeted the PMs with nooses while holding Michelle Rampell's reelection campaign posters.

Manifesto on roots of Western alienation reflects ‘depth of frustration in Alberta,’ Kenney saysThe Buffalo Declaration, which was posted online on Thursday, was signed by Michelle Rempel Garner and three other Conservative MPs from Alberta Lol, the Canadian province that had it all more than once because of our oil economy. They're pityfull! OIL IS HISTORY! Oh jkenney you silly man. You have no clue Alberta is living in the past! Canada is a 21st century country with a 21st century economy, that’s on a role! While Alberta plays footsie with a club of old men stuck in the past.

Manifesto underscores the depth of frustration in Alberta, says Premier Jason KenneyThe Buffalo Declaration says Ottawa must make a concerted effort to repair national bonds or face the real risk of Alberta seeking to separate I am so glad you take the time to post these articles. It is good that you focus on one point. When Ontario hit the hard times, how many people said to get your books in order and sort yourselves out. Was there a war room formed? Did Ontario do ANYTHING like this? watch businesses flee, and professionals too-if doctors don't leave now over the tearing up of their contract by the province The word manifesto is too be used only with socialist dogs - thanks.

Don Martin: No magic political wand to wish down the barricadesIt’s easy to feel empathy for Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s no-win predicament over the Coastal GasLink pipeline, which has unleashed sympathy protests and paralyzed rail service across Canada. Every course of action will be seen as wrong and nail his political popularity with a hammer, Don Martin writes in his weekly column for CTVNews.ca. Alberta seems to have had a wand that worked very well. Maybe others should get the same one. The train is coming through get off the tracks or pay the price, end of story.
