Card users can earn $5 back in statement credits when they spend at least $10 at qualifying small businesses, earning up to $50 through the program

“Small businesses across the country need our support now more than ever,” Lisa Kalhans, president and CEO of American Express Canada, said in a statement.

Over the next three months, card users can earn $5 back in statement credits when they spend at least $10 at qualifying small businesses, earning up to $50 through the program. “Our goal with this promotion is to have cardmembers show up for small businesses as much as possible. We want them to support multiple local businesses which is why we’ve made it possible to earn the credit 10 times by shopping at 10 different businesses – online, curbside or in-store,” Kalhans said.

American Express is also updating its Shop Small Map, to help customers find eligible businesses, and giving businesses tools to help them attract customers.
