Devils place Cory Schneider on waivers, recall Domingue from AHL - Sportsnet.ca

Schneider, 33, has struggled this season and been replaced by MacKenzie Blackwood as the team’s primary starter.

In six starts this season, Schneider has a 0-4-1 record with a 4.59 goals-against average and .852 save percentage. He is currently in the fifth season of a seven-year contract that has a $6 million cap hit. Domingue was acquired from the Tampa Bay Lightning on Nov. 1. He has a 2-1-1 record with Binghamton this season.
