The National Rifle Association is pressing ahead with its annual meeting in Houston despite the mass shooting tragedy in Uvalde, Texas.
It describes the Uvalde shooting as the act of a “lone, deranged criminal,” offers sympathy to the families of the victims and suggests schools need to be more secure. Former president Donald Trump, who is also among those slated to attend, has confirmed he’ll be there to deliver a speech. “Our deepest sympathies are with the families and victims involved in this horrific and evil crime,” the NRA statement reads.
To continue to viciously promote unregulated gun proliferation. And whom does that benefit?
Of course with a moment of silence for the deaths of shooters involved in rampages.
