'Dark days ahead': Ontario premier warns little separates province from devastation in Italy and Spain

"A terrible virus is spreading around the world at an alarming rate … infecting people from all walks of life." Ford says the mass mobilization of government, businesses and people to slow the spread of COVID-19 is one of the most ambitious efforts undertaken by the province in generations.

The Essential business list needs to be retooled so not almost every business stats open forcing employees to go to work

starting shutting down non essential shopping like Canadian tire, construction, dollarama, giant tiger, walmart. Grocery stores, liquor stores, gas stations, convenience stores should be the only essential stores open. Government is not doing enough. To little to late

That is because Canada should have been proactive to close the border and ban travels to begin with...but noooooo...they were playing with politics. Only until Trudeau's wife get's infected to close the border. Too late...infection is spreading exponentially. Stupid.

Rural areas not taking this seriously. Movement needs to be restricted.

Flattening the curve doesn't shorten this. It actually lengthens the duration. What it does do is save lives. Problem is the economy will be the victim if the curve goes flat. 2 outcomes. Short and a lot of dead or slow burn to massive economic devastation

Imagine how frustrating it would be to tell your constituents each and everyday that they need to follow the health protocols and then hear countless times about brain dead people ignoring them and just carrying on like there isn’t a pandemic going on.

Could be a big spike in people dying. Reason is population is more concentrated in Italy & Spain. Once Canada’s rural areas are hit with Covid the death toll could climb quickly. Any reason CTV isn’t questioning the malaria drug test program? Seems to be buried.

Give Trudeau some credit... since he’s the one who made the situation far worse by NOT CLOSING Canada to international flights from hotspots, gave away valuable PPE, and only closed the border when the media CAUGHT him...his negligence is killing Canadians....
