Eveleigh’s advocacy and volunteerism won him a 2021 Premiers’ Council Award of Excellence, citing not only his volunteer work but also his advisory expertise to Renfrew Educational Services for its Augmentative Alternative Communication Everywhere project. He speaks about living with a disability and how to break down barriers, including as part of the 2019 March of Dimes Canada conference.
Through his high-tech ACC system “smartbox,” which he controls and programs to voice his presentations, his fight throughout has been to be more independent, to better communicate and to help mom Sue in daily routines.
