Chinese-Canadian groups laud belligerents that fought against Canada and other allies in Korean War

. The war claimed the lives of 516 Canadians, whose chief adversaries were Chinese and North Korean troops.

Mr. Xi last week marked the 70th anniversary of China’s entry into the Korean war, characterizing it as fighting off “imperialist invaders,” a reference to the U.S. and allies including Canada, and how it was a fight against “U.S. aggression.” He was later accused of distorting history by South Korea’s foreign minister.In his speech, Mr. Xi said China’s performance in the Korean War"broke the myth that the U.

Charles Burton, a former Canadian diplomat in China and senior fellow at the Macdonald-Laurier Institute, said it is regrettable some Chinese Canadian organizations choose to echo recent comments of Mr. Jinping.

As a Chinese-Canadian, I hate those who enjoy the democracy of Canada,enjoy the beautiful land in North America,but support a foreign country.Those people should be expelled because they will worsen the situation of Chinese-Canadian who loves Canada.

Plz, be very careful when you use the term ”Chinese Canadian”. Probably 1000 different cultures around the world are called” Chinese”. You don't generalize the Chinese Canadian whose family came to Canada in the 19th century and the Chinese newcomer from Beijing as the same thing
