The Canucks say Brock Boeser has a rib cartilage fracture and will be re-evaluated in three weeks.

Boeser, who suffered his injury on Feb. 8 against the Calgary Flames, has registered 16 goals and 29 assists in 56 games this season.

Ferland, meanwhile, was removed from a conditioning game with the AHL’s Utica Comets on Friday night due to concussion-like symptoms. The winger has been out since Dec. 10 and has appeared in just 14 games this season. With Ferland on long-term injured reserve, this frees up cap space for the incoming Tyler Toffoli, who the Canucks
