Cannabis and alcohol linked to majority of youth hospitalizations for substance abuse in Canada via TheGrowthOp

Cannabis is putting Canadian kids in the hospital, according to a recent study by the Canadian Institute for Health Information .

Jean Harvey, director of Canadian Population Health Initiative at CIHI, says that when it comes to youth and substance use-related health issues the information revealed in the study is just “the tip of the iceberg.” “We know that the health and well-being of children and youth living in Canada continues to decline,” Gruenwoldt said. “Evidence tells us that early intervention is important for the prevention and treatment of substance misuse and associated mental health disorders…This report highlights the urgent need for a pan-Canadian child and youth mental health and substance use strategy.”

TheGrowthOp Why are you using an image of someone vaping? If someone blowing smoke like that while smoking weed they ain't going to the hospital let alone getting high lmao

TheGrowthOp So vape is not the problem then

TheGrowthOp I guess that’s a good thing. The other substances that can be abused are even more immediately and irreversibly damaging.
