Ottawa is waiving rent payments from March to December for 21 airport authorities, money that’s usually deposited directly into the pocket of the federal government each month. The government has also pledged to provide "comparable treatment" for PortsToronto, which operates Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport.

Will canadians who are people and not airports still have to pay rent for the rest of the year? Can one be an airport on paper?

yvrairport FYI: Vancouver Airport Authority is the community-based, not-for-profit organization that manages Vancouver International Airport (YVR). The Airport Authority reinvests all of its profits back into YVR.

Charging the airport rent is why we pay such airfares in the world. Anything to keep air canada in business.

And small businesses!
