Blake Smith, who was living at a community correctional centre, commonly known as a halfway house, was charged with breaching the conditions of a statutory release on Aug. 24. Smith is described as standing five feet six inches tall and weighing around 160 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.He was last seen wearing a green Under Armour T-shirt, a light blue hat with white sunglasses on top, denim jeans rolled up to below the knee, black and red Nike sneakers, and carrying a plaid backpack.
The 37-year-old is serving an aggregate sentence of roughly 11 years and seven months for convictions of disguise with intent, forcible confinement, break, enter and commit, two counts of mischief in relation to other property, three counts of possession, use, trafficking, stolen and falsified credit cards, robbery with threats of violence, unlawfully at large and failure to comply with conditions.
Police are warning the public to not approach Smith and anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Saint John Police Force at 1-506-648-3333 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
