'It’s the Canadian thing to do,' the company's chief executive says

The company is making medical gear for front-line workers at no cost.

Canada Goose Stock Price Crashes On Slightly Bad News Canada Goose says it will produce the clothing at two of its manufacturing facilities, starting with Toronto and Winnipeg. Production is set to start early next week with approximately 50 employees per facility and an initial goal of 10,000 units. “Now is the time to put our manufacturing resources and capabilities to work for the greater good,” Canada Goose chief executive Dani Reiss said in a statement. “Our employees are ready, willing and able to help, and that’s what we’re doing. It’s the Canadian thing to do.” This report by The Canadian Press was first published March 25, 2020. Also on HuffPost: Read more: HuffPost Canada

Thank you Canadagoose . Maybe now a few wolves will be saved!! Shit that going to be expensive stuff. bruce_arthur They still usin them nasty animal traps though. jtoninger When this is over I'll consider buying something from them but probably not because I'm not a millionaire lol Good. Maybe they can stop killing animals for their shit jackets to make a profit. That’s all anyone cares about $$$. If you buy from them they’ll continue to murder coyotes who usually new their own legs off to escape the leg trap they’re in. Terrible company

They should make them out of fur, just to piss off peta Thank you CanadaGoose! Omg do people always gotta be so fucking negative......DAM Hurry, they are badly needed I think that it’s a great idea!!! I’d rather wear a fly nautica jacket then this played out parka that every tom dick jerry wears

Canada Goose to make scrubs, patient gowns in battle against coronavirusRetailer will begin distributing them to local hospitals free of cost next week Very cool. This is the shit that makes me laugh. Will they be more stylish than the usual fucking clothes. Maybe America doesn't want M4A. In Canada our Health ministry is so incompetent its a challenge to get treated by a Dr who isn't naked. Since they can’t sell to the Chinese might as well milk the Canadian government. Must keep gmbutts wife floating in cash.

Cdn thing to do is stop saying cdn thing to do as Canada is a island of immigrants Escaping their home countries to fall into capitalist overpriced trap if a country where shit is overpriced and work til u die is the norm Cdn thing to do is to bring justice to this stupid Mongloid goose owner and make him pay for butchering wolves and random animals for overcharging a fuckin jacket that is only worth $50

Canadian thing to do is to come out and say u ripped off people and bow down to people being scoffed $700 for a lousy cookie cutter jacket Canadian thing to do would not try to get celebrity credentials about it The Canadian thing to do is permanently stop killing animals for their fur. canadagoose Canadian thing to do is make your jackets cheaper not rip off capitalist frogman

The Canadian thing to do is not murder animals for fashion Good. Leave the animals alone! animalcruelty beuseful Well, at least a few coyotes will live to see another day... For now rachkmc 👏👏👏👏👏

Community spread and travel now equally blamed for COVID-19 cases in CanadaAn equal number of Canadians who have tested positive for COVID-19 contracted the virus within their communities and from travel, according to Canada’s Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam. There would have been no community spread if Trudeau and his fellow lightweights had put restrictions in sooner. And Air Canada will be gone soon too. No bailouts. Trudeau is not in control. Who is the puppet master? Follow the money. He's a plant. Isn’t it a shift because all they were testing at first were people who had travelled? 🤨

PeterMerlinCane Will these scrubs be inhumanly lined with beautiful dog fur and cost $1200. This is an attempt at positive PR I appreciate that. Appreciate even more if they stopped harming and killing animals to produce their coats Coincidence, I think not. Oh good they’ll stop needlessly killing animals

That’s a nice break from needlessly killing coyotes. Great job canadagoose ! I know that the clothing will be well made by your top-notch workers . IreneKenneth3 Proud of all Canadians today. Thank You, Canada Goose! Canada Goose traps Coyotes for fur and also uses Geese. Its cruel and in a world where we can use faux fur why can't they change this horrible policies? North face does not use fur.

That is indicative of a broken supply system and an unprepared public health response strategy.

What theatres are performing online this week across CanadaThe loneliness - and the togetherness - of the live-stream. Plus, an online telethon in support of an artistic charity and a return of Robert Lepage’s controversial Ring Cycle

Happy that 'Canadian Companies' are stepping up in our time of need. Now if only they can stop killing the animals. Great! A break from trapping and killing coyotes for fur. Are they going to make them out of wolf hair, and goose down? Isn't Canada Goose's manufacturing in China now? There's nothing Canadian about this company anymore

1200 dollar scrubs too? Gotta love the people who have the sheer gall to bitch about a company making uniforms for hospitals....only in 2020 so Indigenous communities will get them last I assume sorry not sorry I'm just so tired of the Canadian lens of niceness when I know it's mostly horse pucky Going to use some of that 1.48 million taxpayer subsidy for that?

renkiger Imma get a Canada goose jacket next winter.

Canada closes the curtain on the IOC’s biggest stage due to COVID-19Canadian athletes, officials support COC’s decision to skip Tokyo 2020, with ripple effects felt around the world Globe_Sports

Thank you canadagoose !! In other news, Tim Hortons announced it's going to be doing exactly nothing except continue to sell fake-out coffee and donuts, while raking in $billions and mass-spreading COVID-19. 'It’s the Brazilian thing to do,' the company's chief executive says... Thank you canadagoose THANK YOU 🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️

'Knock, drop and go': No more signing for Canada Post packages at the doorCanada Post has announced that it will be reducing hours of service and no longer allowing people to sign for packages at their front doors. This is going to be a nightmare. These people couldn't even get my Amazon packages to me on time pre-Wuhan. No more hugging the mailperson Great now my shit is definitely gonna be stolen lololol

Social distancing is crucial, but Canada also needs more coronavirus testing: experts“You can’t win a football game by defending, you have to attack as well,” said WHO director-general Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. Testing Testing Testing Testing Testing Testing Testing I'm going to question the logic behind spending resources on excessive testing. Treat mild flu symptoms as COVID19 and isolate for the required time. If as I've heard 20-30% of cases will require medical attention focus resources on them & use their numbers as a predictor Expand testing. With knowing how severe the situation is, people will be more responsible to keep social distancing.
