Businesses have the right to require masks on customers, Doug Ford says GlobeBusiness

Ontario Premier Doug Ford, seen here on May 25, 2020, says any business has the right to refuse customers for not wearing a mask and he is encouraging people to abide by such rules. If you were hoping to get out of putting on a face mask to visit stores and other businesses demanding customers wear one, think again.

The Canadian Press has been told by Longo’s and T&T supermarkets, Air Canada and Uber that shoppers, travellers and riders will be confronted with the mandatory policy at their stores and businesses. “Businesses have a legal responsibility to create a safe working environment and if having people wear masks is a reasonable accommodation, which I think it is, to provide that safe environment, I believe that the retailer can refuse entry to someone who will not don a mask.”

“Be very aware of those with different types of cognitive, intellectual disabilities, those who are hearing impaired and others,” Canada’s top health official said recently.

globebusiness Just make it mandatory, Doug

globebusiness And I have a right not to shop there Doug. You did a real good job of keeping Costco and Loblaws open while destroying the rest of Canada. You disgust me.

globebusiness I’ve walked out of several stores trying to impose their draconian bullshit on me. Fuck you I’ll spend my money where I want

globebusiness And consumers have the right to choose where they shop.

globebusiness Oh well if an intellectual like Doug ford says it must be true!!! 🙄

globebusiness And customers have the right to take their business elsewhere. I applaud this statement of fact.

globebusiness Yes & we as free Canadians have the right to boycott all businesses & Gov who try to force us to do anything. 😡😡😎

globebusiness They have that right, though if they are bludgeoned into it, that isn't really a choice. My choice is clear. Any business that signs onto this virtue signalling idiocy will never see another dollar from me.

globebusiness Sure. I also have rights and won’t visit and spend my $$. Just happened at Restoration Hardware in Calgary. Was going to spend $5,000 on a bedroom set. Nope. Has to have a mask. So we left and bought elsewhere.

globebusiness So just go to the ones that don’t require it.

globebusiness I do believe mask works during this pandemic! Otherwise, this virus will last more than a year.... you don’t have to wear the mask the whole day😅...only in some specific accasion. Such as in door, grocery store difficult maintaining 2 meters distance at all time. It is necessary.

globebusiness Go to hell Doug Ford. Signed a previous supporter. Controlavirus

globebusiness Of course they do. Customers have the right to eat at home and watch them go bankrupt too.

globebusiness Is it a law? We need to get behind this organization ASAP to keep our RIGHTS! Check it out!

globebusiness So why can't my business have smoking? Why can't my business refuse or require any type of clothing. I love how governments enforce that discrimination is ok, as long as they agree with it. fordnation is a another red tory fascist, that's the only reason they let him win.

globebusiness

globebusiness fordnation and customers have a right to do business with another company that isn’t imposing draconian rules.

globebusiness

globebusiness There is one in my city and I refuse to spend my money there

globebusiness Where is it wrote in the law books that a business owner 'has the right' to require all customers to wear a mask. Where exactly is that wrote in law?

globebusiness Human rights are protected in Canada. Stores, albiet private, may think they have the upper hand in deciding all levels of policy, but that's incorrect. Discrimination against a person, and denying them access to shop for essentials is a case for The Human Rights Tribunals.

globebusiness

globebusiness They can’t force you to risk your health. You inhale your own co2 and cut off oxygen.

globebusiness Masks do nothing, social distancing does nothing, the survival rate is over 99% in Canada. Fear not, there is nothing to fear. This will be over soon, they can't hide the truth forever.

globebusiness Sorry I'm asthmatic and can't wear a mask as it causes Hypercapnia and could kill me.. guess I'm not allowed to shop?

globebusiness

globebusiness No they don’t Mr Draconian.

globebusiness Just don’t shop there. Sheep gonna sheep

globebusiness NO, they do not.

David_Moscrop globebusiness When is a mask not a mask?

globebusiness Masks can ad an layer of protection, better be safe than sorry. Would be helpful if they sold masks to clients or provide them for free. Peopld May brainlessly disagree with masks. it’s an added layer of protection when we can’t social distance ALWAYS wash your hands FREQUENTLY

globebusiness Come on fordnation! onpoli

globebusiness Or course! It’s a simple matter of property rights. I can’t believe it even has to be said.

globebusiness If that’s the case then legislate it!

globebusiness Good!

globebusiness It works both ways. Staff in stores should be wearing masks, too. They can pass along the virus, too.

globebusiness And I have the right to refuse to shop in those businesses!!

globebusiness Of course they do. It's like you go into someone's house and they asked you to take off your shoes and you don't?

globebusiness

globebusiness Just remember everyone, YOU ARE FREE. We have rights, and we don't have to listen to rules that restrict our freedoms. Wear a mask if you want to. It's a choice.

globebusiness Wow. Keep pushing you incompetent 'leaders', the masses won't put up with this for much longer 👍

David_Moscrop globebusiness

globebusiness Customers too. Still looking for those millions masks you mysteriously received. Clown fordnation

globebusiness Ford has really bought into the agenda.

globebusiness Congratulations. Looking out for the safety of everyone.

globebusiness Great, and when no one shops there then they can go under. I couldn’t care less if they are that stupid. Clearly more fear mongering regarding a very over blown flu bug. Cue the brain dead liberal responses now...

rexglacer globebusiness

globebusiness I live in a store-free part of the GTA so buy everything online.

globebusiness What is the proper mask to wear and where is it available for purchase? Is a piece of paper towel considered a proper mask? Where is the media at on investigating the proper masks and availability? fordnation

globebusiness So are the business going to provide the masks to their customers? If they don't not sure what most people will do as I've checked online and masks are only available to business customers for frontline use, same as gloves. Everything else is marked up crazy high

globebusiness private property -- as long as they don't discriminate they are golden. They need to protect their employees and other clients. The no mask wankers can go down the street to the anti-vax party.

globebusiness i really dont want to get sick. just wear a mask.

rexglacer globebusiness That is fine that's their right but it will be done at their expense and their expense alone. We have paid for Ottawa's and the premieres negligence and no more money should be wasted or severally cut all government pay period

globebusiness china CCP_is_terrorist CCPChina masked the world. XHNews SCMPNews PDChina ChinaDaily Echinanews XI MUST GO!

globebusiness If that’s the case, I’ll use my right to shop somewhere else, like I have been since Longo’s and Costco made them mandatory.

globebusiness Employers must protect the workers from hazards on the job such as asbestos and benzene and covid 19 and second hand smoke . Identify the possible hazard and take steps to mitigate it. Having customers wear masks is the only way to do this somewhat effectively.

globebusiness No

globebusiness Then businesses must be prepared to have a supply of masks for customers. Free of course as they can write them off.

globebusiness I agree but I don't think it's the premier's decision.

David_Moscrop globebusiness AND THEIR EMPLOYEES TOO.

globebusiness Send this to Doug Ford Plse:

globebusiness no right, this optional, Ford is big disappointment in this crisis

Ontario to release testing strategy for COVID-19 next week, premier encourages residents to get testedOntario's premier is now encouraging anyone who thinks they've been exposed to COVID-19, even if they have no symptoms, to get tested at one of the province's assessment centres. Good idea, but Lakeridge Assessment Centre is still requiring an appointment stating you will. E redirected to the online form if you just show up. Will this be changed as of tomorrow? Or when? Should a rolled mobile testing Van's through Trinity bellwoods I got bad feeling that big Pharma is behind this big push to continue the covid fear. They have the most to loose if they cant persuade public opinion that covid is deadly

Ontario premier tells 'reckless' people who packed Toronto park to get tested for COVID-19Ontario Premier Doug Ford is asking everyone who ignored physical distancing rules at a Toronto park last weekend to get tested for COVID-19 while slamming their 'reckless' behaviour. Oh look more promising of FEAR , Businesses in states/provinces opening up have a competitive advantage as supply chains decouple with China. They get first crack at new business in the form of vendors, value added resellers, and new contracts. Reckless & a tyrant who thinks he’s the almighty ruler
