Burger King is re-"moulding" the image of its signature Whopper in a nauseating new ad campaign that promotes efforts to eliminate artificial preservatives and other additives from the company's menu. The burger chain on Wednesday unveiled pictures of its new, preservative-free Whopper. In the campaign, the Whopper is covered in mould, decaying as it's consumed by green fungus.showing the all-natural Whopper slowly rotting over the course of 34 days as soul singer Dina Washington's 1959 hit "What a Difference A Day Makes" plays in the background.
No, but maybe get me to clean my fridge more often.
Has the world gone mad?
It’s a play on McDonalds burgers not decomposing. Here’s the thing... McDonald’s is killing it right now so they must be doing something right. It’s ballsy I’ll give you that BurgerKing
no.
They’re stupid, they have the worst tasting hamburgers on the market & when I drive by one I just keep going until I find a better alternative.
Eat the bugs, purchase the moldy whopper, live in a pod
This company owns Tim Horton's too. I'd love to see them try that with their styrofoam breakfast sandwiches
I mean, that was a huge part of the Supersize Me movie-- a lot of those processed foods don't decompose. I get it. But it def makes me want Wendys 😂😂
This is what happens when unreasonable people want everything to be 100% organic. Not every preservative is harmful to the human body. Preservatives are necessary. If they did not exist, a lot of food would go to waste.
Not a bad idea. Extreme usually resonates with people. 🎼What a diiiffferrence a daaayyyyyy maakkkesss🎶... 24 little hoouursss....🎶🎶🎶
Haha, the Onion always joking. ... what do you mean this is a real news story?
Well if mould can eat it, so can you!
Tasty!😋
They're going to turn people into vegetarians. Awful ad.
Disgusting. They should fire that ad agency.
I've had one Whopper in my 65 yrs. Most disgusting, greasiest burger ever.
they got a point. a good one actually. but people will never stop to read, think and understand what they’re trying to say here marketing doesn’t work like that
Not bloody likely.
🤢🤢
Once I forgot about a slice of pizza in my lunch bag...for 4 months. By the time I discovered it, let’s just say it was worse than rancid.
Yummy
Because it shows real food and not chemical enhanced like McDs...Burger King is speaking to the educated consumer
😱😱
Without preservatives at what point in its evolution will it still look OK but harbor enough salmonella or whatever to make you sick?
At least they can grow mold, McDonalds can't.
Thats gross
WTF 🤮🤮🤮I don’t even eat Burger King now and this pretty much guarantees I never will
Ewww...that’s disgusting! This campaign isn’t working for me. Burger King has nasty food no matter how “natural” it is!
At least BK uses natural ingredients that grow mouldy, unlike Mcd using chemicals that lasts years without mold!
It's true. Real food rots. Give this marketing team a free vacation!
Yup, as real as high sodium, high cholesterol junk food gets.
Young kids will not check what they eat That’s why no more eating out
I wonder what Wendys would think?
I’ve got a BigMac 30 years old. Still in good condition.
Yes, as it's real ingredients. No, because its junk food.
This is a joke, right
Wendys is better anyways.
Burger King get your head in the game when in the history of are world has eating ever bin acceptable. The guy might be convincing but it is still bull S***.
Fire the campaign manager
🤢
well the fact it moulds mean its made with real ingredients... more then we can say about McDonalds burgers 😝....
had green egg in a mcmuffin once ...ewww
