Sabres to waive Bogosian to terminate deal. MORE:

VIDEO SIGN OUTon unconditional waivers at Noon ET for contract termination after the veteran defenceman refused to report to the AHL's Rochester Americans, TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger reports.

Bogosian was suspended by the Sabres on Monday for his failure to report to the Americans after clearing waivers last week. Dreger notes the Sabres tried to trade Bogosian and were willing to retain 50 per cent of his $5.143 million cap hit before making their decision Friday. TSN Hockey Insider Pierre LeBrun noted the Toronto Maple Leafs could have interest in Bogosian on the free-agent market if he clears unconditional waivers.

Bogosian will be placed on unconditional waivers today. If he clears, his contract will be terminated and he will be free to sign with another club. Buffalo tried hard to trade him and was willing to retain 50%

Only if the Canucks did this with Loui...I dont see him reporting to Utica.

Winnipeg should at least take a look. 🤷‍♂️

If a team like Buffalo is 'letting him go',begs the real question,,,Why?

Does that wipe his cap hit clean, or is there a cap recapture penalty! TSNBobMcKenzie DarrenDreger

So he's basically walking away from what's left of his 5 million dollar contract. Not a chance he even gets half that with whoever signs him.

No different than a Trouba. High maintenance . Little impact. Hope he never plays anywhere. Seems to forget it’s a team game.
