The Blue Jays will be looking to move back into an American League wild card berth as they begin a crucial three-game series with the Yankees as -152 favourites on the latest MLB odds. (By OddsShark)

Toronto is coming off back-to-back wins over the Twins in Minnesota this past weekend, but remains one game back of the Boston Red Sox and two games back of the Yankees in the American League wild card standings going into Tuesday night's matchup at Rogers Centre.

While the Blue Jays currently enjoy a two-game win streak, they have struggled to generate consistent results since returning to postseason contention during a 15-2 run that began in late August. The Blue Jays have stumbled to a middling 6-6 record in 12 outings since then, while tallying consecutive victories on just two occasions during that stretch.

Despite those home struggles, the Blue Jays have managed to consistently contain the vaunted New York attack. They have limited the Yankees to just over 3.1 runs per game while winning 10 of 16 overall meetings during the current campaign, with the UNDER going 8-2 for totals bettors over those 10 victories.

How it plays out will go a long way in determining how fans feel about the season. (By TaoofStieb) TaoofStieb Even if they don’t make it in, I’m proud of the Jays for fighting for heir way back into the WC race. It’s been a tough season, with Springer missing so many games/playing injured, the amount of blown saves in the first half, and injuries to some key relievers. Our boys fought. TaoofStieb Thanks Tao, excellent analysis of, well, everything. Always a pleasure to read your writing.
