The BlueJays have an agreement with right-hander Tyler Chatwood, per ShiDavidi.

The deal, pending a physical, is worth $3 million with incentives that could push it to a total of $5.5 million, Davidi reports. The free agent pitcher who spent the last three seasons with the Chicago Cubs is expected to be used out of the bullpen, per Davidi.

Chatwood, 31, has nine seasons of experience in the majors split between the Cubs, Colorado Rockies and Los Angeles Angels. In his career, the righty is 51-57 with a 4.40 ERA, 1.51 WHIP and 622 strikeouts throughout 846.2 innings pitched and 143 starts. Last season, Chatwood earned a 5.30 ERA during the shortened season before a forearm strain sidelined him for the second half of the shortened season. He also posted a 1.66 WHIP and 25 strikeouts in his 18.2 innings of work.
