“We think if we were required to, we might have the ability to play in August.' Bill Daly said the NHL is open to playing through the summer to complete the 2019-20 campaign.

Deputy Commissioner Bill Daly is hopeful that the NHL can fit in the end of the 2019-20 regular season and playoffs during a “bigger window” this summer and play a full schedule in the 2020-21 season.

“We think if we were required to, we might have the ability to play in August. If we have to fit games in, we’ll find ways to fit games in.” “I think as time has gone on, we’ve recognized we might have a bigger window than we had originally thought with respect to the summer months and when we have to finish things to be ready for a full regular season next year,” Daly said.

“There’s going to be an adequate training camp with an ability to get back up to speed,” Daly said. “In terms of the first meaningful game, I’m not in a position to say what that’s going to look like, but we certainly understand the sentiment and the concerns about kind of jumping right back in.”that the NHL Scouting Combine, the NHL Awards and the NHL Draft have been postponed.

Well you’d have to have a Canadian winner and a USA winner of the Stanley cup. No one crossing borders for a while. Maybe no euros playing either if they went home.

Nothing wrong with that!!

As long as the season is “postponed” no refunds for my tickets ... keep dragging it out sooner or later the money has to comeback to the ticket holder

never gonna happen

Why would I watch hockey in Aug after being stuck inside for 2 months? They think Canadians are that desperate to watch hockey. After all of this sadness, I want to friends and go out.

Don’t do it nobody will watch

Summer Hockey ain’t gonna Happen just Cancel it

If I’m August we can go camping again, no one is going to care about hockey. End it now NHL , do the right thing.

That is just not going to happen. Even if the virus is contained there will be hot spots like New York that will take months to clear.

still worried about the money bettman,go and self isolate

No one’s going to given a damn about hockey in August. Baseball, golf and pre-season NFL will make the NHL absolutely irrelevant during the summer.

Note to NHL: some parts of Canada get 4 months of decent weather - June thru September - that's why hockey is played October thru May. We try to spend more time outdoors and travel when the weather is nice. So I won't be watching NHL in August.....forget it!

Naw end it now

They should do something similar like they did with a lockout season few few years back, if NHL consider to finish this season — NBA should follow suit to finish their season as well ⁉️❣️😯🤔😌👀🏀🏒🇺🇸🇨🇦🌏
