B.C. Ferries cancels route ahead of long weekend because of mechanical issues

The company says in order to do repairs to its main engine cylinder head and liner, the ship will remain out of service for Thursday and possibly Friday.• 7:40 a.m. out of Departure Bay• 2:45 p.m. out of Horseshoe Bay• 11:40 p.m. out of Horseshoe BayB.C. Ferries says the repairs are significant, which means Friday sailings could also be impacted. If July 1 sailings are cancelled, the company says it will notify customers.

Travellers are being encouraged to take alternative service between Vancouver Island and Metro Vancouver on the following routes:Share this Story:
