B.C. Premier John Horgan, right, and Green Party Leader Andrew Weaver, seen here on Nov. 18, 2018, had displayed a personal animosity toward each other throughout the four years they shared the opposition benches. The battle for seats in B.C. in the last days of this fall’s federal election campaign has drawn out a bitter rivalry between New Democrats and Greens in the fight to secure progressive votes.
During the 2017 election campaign, those hostilities were amplified – and it extended to grassroots campaign workers who scrapped viciously through social media. The Greens entered into negotiations with both parties. During those talks, Mr. Weaver and Mr. Horgan discovered something unexpected: They liked each other.
There was enough, he said, for the NDP to offer to form a coalition government that would have given the Greens a seat at the cabinet table. The Greens rejected that offer, instead hammering out a detailed agreement that allowed Mr. Horgan to topple the Liberal government.
Well they have the common goal of driving our province into recession
What at the expense of people living in B.C.!!!!!!!
Because they have no choice whatsoever.
They get along because the greens just do what they are told, they campaigned on stopping site C and the LNG project yet both are still being built. They will do the same federally
Absolutely! Both are clueless and completely out of touch with reality! Tax the rich! The world is ending in 12 years! We don’t need oil and gas! Ya da ya da elxn2019 elxn43 cdnpoli
laughter - get along...not if productivity and the benefit of the taxpayer is the goal.
Two little men hungry for power using each other to hold on to it while the province goes to hell in a hand basket.
